From Jonna McDonald, Ginny’s daughter:

Over the past 4 weeks, my mom, Ginny Cockrell’s health has declined and she been diagnosed with lymphoma. It’s aggressive and currently in 4 different places in her body and rapidly multiplying.

After an additional consultation with oncologists, we learned more about the extent that chemotherapy would have on Ginny's quality of life. We are aware of additional stress of the confusion from her Alzheimer's. With a cancer as aggressive as hers, the likelihood of successful outcome is low. Our family would like her next weeks to be joyful, surrounded by love, family, and gentle care, so we have elected to engage hospice care at home.

She described the same wish as well, for herself. Thank you so much for your continued prayers in the coming weeks.
